Walking
You can walk the local lanes and explore at your leisure, or if you are more 'serious' , each canton publishes local walks and these are available in Tourist Information offices.
France has a network of 'Grand Randonnee' or GR routes. Our nearest is GR22 and you can read an account of one man's walk from the Mont St Michel to Paris by selecting the GR22 link at the left. Parts 2&3 cover the route nearest to us.
Beaches
Along the Bay of the Mont St Michel there are many beaches to discover - amongst them, Jullouville les Pins & St Martin de Brehal are long stretches of sand (both are about 40 minutes from us) At Granville you'll find rock pools as well as sand, and plenty of interest in the town (including good seafood restaurants, a casino and the Christian Dior Museum)
St Malo is a little further (70 minutes) and worth a visit to its old walled town - many restaurants and plenty of shops if you need a little retail therapy plus lots of small coves and rockpools nearby.
Golf
18-hole golf course at nearby lake Dathee - about 15 minutes away by car.
